Because of my decision to quit my job in order to focus on school and the career I am attempting to pursue, I no longer have a monthly income to use for shopping expenses. This allows me to really use my closet to its full potential and make complete outfits that each look unique by using the basic pieces that I already own, rather than relying on recent purchases for new outfits no one has ever seen before, as I am one who is not much of an "outfit-repeater", to quote The Lizzie McGuire Movie. I actually thought this task would be very difficult, until I requested an extra armoire in my dorm room after realising there is absolutely not enough space for the clothes that I have here in San Francisco. Surely that could make up enough combinations to last me the entire semester! *Also unheard of, me wearing trousers. I happen to really like this pair from Banana Republic, which fit like a dream--hard to come by with my body type.
Despite the lack of money, I found myself venturing to Goodwill with a group of friends yesterday who needed costumes for a show. I found two very useful items that I was able to purchase with some pocket change as well as the most comfortable and cute pair of vintage shoes (which, thanks to Chris, I now own!). I always must leave with something when thrifting, but even when I don't have $20 to spend, I still enjoy looking through the collections of records, books, and VHS tapes.
Keeping up with one of my New Years resolutions, I have also become less concerned with posting frequently and instead wanting to focus on the quality. Hopefully this will only improve over time!
Stay sweet ♡
P.S. Chris and I filmed The Boyfriend Tag over at my YouTube account. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check it out for a smile and cute explosion...you know, if you're into that.
